On Friday, October 11, 2019, our Chamber was proud to host close to 200 attendees for an informative and interactive symposium highlighting “Women Shaping Our Region”. Moderated by Butler County Commissioners Leslie Osche and Kim Geyer, our six panelists candidly discussed topics of interest not only to women in business but to all leaders. We thank Lisa Sylvester, WPXI, Lisa Schroeder, President Pittsburgh Foundation, Hilary Mercer, Vice President Shell Cracker Plant Beaver County, Aradhna Oliphant, CEO Leadership Pittsburgh Inc., Dr. Karen Wolk Feinstein, President and CEO Jewish Healthcare Foundation and Kim Tillotson Fleming, Chairman and CEO Hefren Tillotson.
The Commissioners focused on the following; How does our region’s history position you and your organization to be successful and how will you build upon that for the future? As leaders, we are all pulled into many different directions. What have you sacrificed (both personally and professionally) at each stage of your career? What are the most critical changes that we must make to face the future effectively while preparing and inspiring the next generation of leaders?
Not only was the interchange informative and insightful, but an overwhelmingly positive testimony to the impact women have on our professional and personal lives. We thank the staff at the Regional Learning Alliance for creative thinking in every detail from the set up to the menu, our panel for graciously donating their time and talents, the attendees for their participation and the sponsors for their continuing support.
