The Butler County Chamber of Commerce in partnership with St. Barnabas Health System continues our inspiring educational series called Growing Butler 2019. Growing Butler brings together industry experts to inspire and educate local business leaders. The Growing Butler series are hosted by James Roddey, former Allegheny County Executive and Special Assistant to the President at St. Barnabas.
For our May symposium, in addition to our panel of experts, we are fortunate that David J. Hickton, who is the founding director of the University of Pittsburgh Institute for Cyber Law, Policy, and Security, has agreed to serve as chair. At Pitt, Mr. Hickton also has secondary faculty appointments as professor in the School of Law, the School of Computing and Information, and the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. Prior to coming to Pitt, he served as United States Attorney for the Western District of Pennsylvania. He was nominated by former President Barack Obama on May 20, 2010 and was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on Aug. 5, 2010. He was sworn in as the District’s 57th U.S. Attorney on Aug.12, 2010.
He will be joined on the panel by Christopher A. Geary, Unit Chief, Cyber Initiative & Resource Fusion Unit (CIRFU) FBI Cyber Division and Jason Hanlon, Director of Sales at Consolidated Communications.
