Each year, Slippery Rock University recognizes a member of the faculty, administration, staff or a group that has significantly advanced their distinctive civic mission by forming strong partnerships, supporting others’ civic engagement and working to institutionalize a culture and practice of engagement at SRU. This year, Dr. William J. Behre, President, Slippery Rock University proudly honored Lynne Motyl, Associate Vice President for HR & Diversity, as the recipient of the President’s Civic Engagement Ambassador Award. Ms. Motyl is an alumna of Leadership Butler County and has served as Slippery Rock University representative on the Leadership Board since 2009, and as Board Chair for four years. During her tenure, over 200 area professionals have completed the development training and have been responsible for numerous community service projects. We congratulate Lynne on the influence her work holds for advancing a culture and practice of community engagement not only at SRU but in our community.
