Local Community Leaders Show Off Culinary Skills in 3rd Annual Men Who Cook Fundraising Event

WISR 680-AM will be serving up an evening of fun with a unique fundraising event to benefit the The St. Vincent dePaul food bank. The Men Who Cook Dinner Dance is scheduled for Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the Butler Vagabond Center from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and features local businessmen and community leaders sharing samplings of their best dishes.

Guests will enjoy tasting the offerings of each of the Men and will then vote to determine the top chef who will be awarded our Golden Fork award and be inducted into the MWC Hall of Fame. This is a BYOB event that also features a basket raffle, music and dancing. The event is also a fundraiser for the St. Vincent dePaul food bank, which helped 13,700 people in 2018. Guests are encouraged to bring a non-perishable item to donate.

Those donning chef hats for the evening are professionals in their respective fields, but in the kitchen are strictly amateurs. We have local lawmakers, business owners, and educators scheduled to participate in this fun event. The friendly competition is fierce among the men, who have been promoting their participation and encouraging friends, colleagues and coworkers to attend in an effort to garner votes for their dishes. These men are serious about going for the gold – the Golden Fork.

Tickets are $20 presale ($25 at the door) and are available online at ButlerRadio.com and at the Butler Radio Network studios at 252 Pillow St., Butler, PA. WISR radio is owned and operated by the Butler Radio Network.
