|Butler County Needs You!|
A Unified Butler County needs your help. Your financial help is requested in order to successfully execute Phase II of a multiphase effort that will develop and implement a plan for community and economic development for Butler County. The goal of the plan is to improve the economic and business climate in the County. The plan will achieve this through a comprehensive work program focused on improving communications and cooperation, while promoting community and economic development and capital investment in the County. The final outcome will be a published plan that will identify the community and economic development vision and goals for Butler County.
Building Upon Previous Work and SuccessIn 2009, Phase I of the plan was completed by a task force appointed by the Butler County Board of Commissioners. The task force of Phase Iwas composed of public and private stakeholders in Butler County. A summary of the recommendations can be seen in the attached document. It is the goal of the Phase II scope and work plan to implement the recommendations from Phase I’s outreached and best practices review.
The Benefits of InvestmentThe full potential and benefits of Phase I will not be seen until Phase II can be completed. Building upon the work that has been previously accomplished, once the Phase II study is complete, it will develop a sustainable process that ensures the network of public, nonprofit, and private business organizations are all working together towards a county wide vision of community and economic growth. We will be to develop a community and economic development plan and vision for the County and recommend a permanent organizational structure that will be dedicated to the implementation of the plan and coordination of the community and economic initiatives and investment within the County. Community and economic development is made up of an interrelated fabric of community assets that are leveraged and work together to improve quality of life – we must focus and direct our efforts at these assets in a planned way.
Funding is needed to complete the Phase II scope of services, stakeholders in the community have already committed their time and support.
We now need your support.
